Okay, the weather is at the moment truely not mine. Far too hot. But okay, when it would be grey, raining and cold, I would complain about the rain and the coldness.

I got today the author's copies of the two children books Iworked last year for. They went out nice. And something odd happened to me. The more I looked at my illustrations in the past, the less I liked them. Now it is different. When I looked the first time in the books, I was ashamed about the quality of the illustrations. Now I looked for the seventh time (or so) in the books and now I like them more and more.

Okay, there are mistakes and some parts are not so outworked, I imagined. And I think, now I would do some pages completly different. But all in all, I think, I have done good work.

I had been in the past a bit too often at home, so I plan for the weekend a trip with my bike. Near my home are lots of beautiful moated castles. So I will take my sketchbook with me.

...but happy. Today I got author's copies from two Books, I had done illustrations for. And I got thre brochure for the spring-program from the publishinghouse I do illustrations for. And there are also two books I did illustrations for. With my name on the covers

To celebrate the day I went out eating and I had a good evening. Okay, because of the weather I have a light headache and I am getting a cold with a scratching throat.

But now I am thinking about, how I felt one year agoo. If somebady would have told me, that I would do illustration jobs for a big publishing house. I would have said: "Yeah, yeah. Dream on, dear." And now four books and a lot of experiences later I just can say: "Wow, what an exciting year 2007. And let's work on for an fxxxing great year 2008."

Yes, now I have to keep on my work and not to rest on my past successes.

But my illustrations looks really wonderful....

In some days I submit some of my favourite illustrations.

And now, I cook some tea for my throat....

Okay, I have 10.000 Views and this is my first journal-entry. So, I want to tell the visitors of my page:

I am sorry, that I didn't say "Thank you" to each of you. But as a foreign speaker I have difficulties to tell to everyone "Thank you." in different ways. Okay, even in my native language I have the same problems.

And in the past time I hadn't the time to upload new pictures, because I had to do my first illustration-jobs for a german children's book-publisher.

Maybe I will upload some of my favourite illustrations from the past projects.

And I plan to upload more pictures from my recent comicproject about Darkelves.
