Modern Day Erik - Music Geek

Some time agoo, I stumbled upon a facebook profile, were a comic artist, who runs a phantom-themed webcomic made posts as Erik. Okay, but Erik seems to play Sims on facebook. And complains about, that he is addicted to Sims. For me, it was a bit weird. A case, were creator and figure got too close together.

This minor irritation about creator and figure becomming one, caused me to think, what Erik would do in modern times. Certainly not wasting his time on games on facebook. I am not even sure, if he would have a profile on facebook. But here is the first piece, of some ideas I had about modern time Erik.

In my opinion, Erik would of course "waste" his time in record antiquaries. Always on the hunt for the rarest and best recordings ever made. Something like "Some Symphony of a very talented, but know forgotten composer played by the national Orchestra of Kyrgyzstan". So, to quote one of pika-la-cyniques comics: He would be a complete and total music geek.

And I think, in modern times he wouldn't have problems to go outside in bright daylight. I mean, this guy:

Go outside. And they seem to enjoy the attention, they get. And to me, most importantly: They paid people to get this look!! So, Erik would feel rather stupid or even very, very stupid, when he would stay in the cellars of the opera house. Compared to this body artists....ehrm or more correctly, artworks, Eriks looks rather normal with his mask.

Okay, he still causes attention.

Child in the background does, what children do best: "MOMMY, THE MAN WEARS A MASK!!! WHY DOES THE MAN WEAR A MASK??!!!"

And mom does, what lots of moms do best:
"Yes, dear..... And he said WHAT?!"

Failing in multitasking.
