A Phantom in the Wilderness

Another drawing for my ongoing series about the extinct animals, this time featuring the Thylacine or Tasmanian Tiger. The last thylacine died in the Zoo of Hobart on Tasmania in 1936. Since then there had been no real evidence that the thylacine still lives in the wild. Therefore it was declared extinct in 1986. But yet still there are sightings of supposed thylacines on Tasmania and in Australia. A good number of people believe that it still roams the wilderness of the remote parts of Tasmania. 

That's what I want to depict, how the Thylacine became some sort of forest spirit.
